Front Range Internet, Inc. (FRII) is committed to maintaining the
privacy of our customers and web site visitors. Please read the
following to learn more about our privacy policy.
What This Privacy Policy Covers
This policy covers how FRII treats personal information that is
collected and received. Personal information is information that is
personally identifiable, such as your name, address, email address,
or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.
What This Privacy Policy does NOT Cover
This policy does not apply to the practices of companies beyond the
control of FRII or to any misrepresented information given to FRII
from another party. This policy does not cover any unwarranted
access to your information based on improper management of logins
and passwords by you, a FRII user.
Information Collection and Use
- FRII collects personal information when you open a FRII account, when you use FRII products or services and when you visit FRII web pages.
- When you open an account we may ask for information including but not limited to your name, mailing address, telephone number, email address, credit card information and server information for billing and service configuration purposes.
- FRII automatically receives and records information including username, IP address, date and time, and the Media Access Controller (MAC) address from the network card in your computer to our log files when a user accesses FRII services.
- FRII automatically receives and records information to our log files from your browser when you visit FRII web sites, including your IP address, time, and the page you request.
- FRII uses information for the following general purposes: to fulfill your requests for products and services, improve FRII services, contact you for billing or technical support purposes and to diagnose and analyze problems.
- During a user session, technical data is collected within our network monitoring software that does not reveal any personal information.
We may track and aggregate customer network activity into our
analysis of general traffic flows on our network. From this
information we can determine things like how many people used our
service at a particular location on a particular day, and for how
long. Anonymous data may be shared with our advertisers, investors,
agents, affiliated companies, service providers, vendors, and
possible suitors of our business.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
- FRII does not sell, rent, exchange or otherwise disclose any information concerning customers or site visitors except to provide products or services you have requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
- We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;
- We occasionally need to share information with trusted partners who work on behalf of or with FRII to diagnose and analyze system problems, both internal and external, and then only to the minimum extent needed to solve such problems. These companies do not have any independent right to share this information;
- We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of FRII's terms of service, or as otherwise required by law.
- Protecting children's privacy is especially important to us. It is our policy to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 and other applicable laws. We do not knowingly collect or use personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of eighteen.
Edit Your Account Information and Preferences
- You may edit your FRII account information at any time by emailing billing@frii.com or you may contact us directly.
- Certain communications from FRII, such as service announcements and administrative messages are considered part of FRII membership and you may not opt out of receiving them.
- The FRII Monthly Newsletter and FRII Service Status mailings are offered for customer information and may be opted out of at any time.
Cookies
- FRII uses cookies to assist in the navigation and searching of some parts of the FRII web site and does not gather any information other than that noted above.
- Advertisers and partners may also use their own cookies. We do not control use of these cookies and expressly disclaim responsibility for information collected through them.
Security
Protecting your privacy and your information is a top priority at
FRII. We take careful measures to prevent the loss, misuse, and
alteration of your information. Some log information is periodically
destroyed at intervals determined to maximize privacy, system
efficiency, problem diagnosis and metric analysis. All FRII
employees are aware of our privacy and security policies. Your
information is only accessible to those employees who need it in
order to perform their jobs.
Security Measures to Protect Your Privacy
- We encourage you to take whatever measures you deem appropriate to secure your data as it transits the Internet.
- When you are browsing a secure site (identified by a closed lock icon in the corner of your browser) your data will remain secure. Nothing in the FRII network will thwart such built-in security measures.
- For a secure connection to your company's Local Area Network (LAN), you should follow the policies put into place by your company's Internet technology division. FRII's network supports all approved forms of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) Compliance
FRII complies with the FCCs mandate for CPNI compliance as a VoIP
Interconnected Provider. This includes using a Security Password
for VoIP customers, protection of CPNI information and the ability
for VoIP customers to Opt-out and Opt-in of marketing from FRII.

Our web site contains links to other sites that may request that you
provide personally identifiable information such as your name, email
address, and phone number. We are not responsible for the privacy

Notification of Changes
FRII reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time
without notice at FRII's sole discretion. Such modifications shall
be effective when posted. Please check this site for information
about revisions to our privacy policy.
